What we do

We offer Office of the CFO solutions.

Take all three, or the one you are missing. Most clients start with the close and add FP&A once the numbers are trustworthy.

Accounting

The books are right, they close on schedule, and they survive an auditor.

  • Multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation and intercompany eliminations
  • Month-end close calendar and reconciliation discipline
  • Technical accounting under ASC 606, 842 and 326
  • Audit preparation and auditor liaison

Bookkeeping & automation

The transactional layer should run without a person babysitting it.

  • ERP implementation — QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite
  • AI-assisted close automation and reconciliation rules
  • AP, AR and expense workflow design
  • Bank feed, payment and spend-system integration
The fear it answersWhy does this still take fifteen days?
03

FP&A

Where the function stops being a cost and starts paying for itself.

  • Annual budget and quarterly reforecast
  • Consolidated budget-versus-actual with variance narrative
  • Rolling 13-week cash forecast
  • Covenant compliance, lender and board reporting

The deliverable

What lands in your inbox, and when.

A finance function is judged on what it produces. Here is the standing package — and the question each piece is meant to answer.

Standard monthly reporting package
DeliverableTimingThe question it answers
Closed financialsDay 5 P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, consolidated across entities, with every account reconciled and supported.
Budget vs. actualDay 8 Where the month diverged from plan, with a written variance narrative rather than a grid of numbers to interpret yourself.
KPI dashboardDay 8 The operating metrics your board or sponsor tracks — MRR, churn, backlog, margin by segment — reconciled to the financials.
13-week cash forecastWeekly What liquidity looks like a quarter out, updated every week rather than rebuilt in a panic.
Covenant certificatePer agreement Compliance calculations that tie to the statements, filed on the lender's schedule, with headroom flagged in advance.
ReforecastQuarterly A revised full-year view once the quarter is known, so the plan reflects the business as it is rather than as it was budgeted.
How we work

What you get beyond the numbers.

We arrive with a proposed answer
When something breaks — a reconciliation that will not clear, a covenant getting tight, a forecast that no longer holds — you will hear about it with an option attached, not just a flag raised.
We keep the pieces moving
A finance function runs across auditors, lenders, bookkeepers, your ERP vendor and your own team. Keeping those threads in sync, on a calendar, is most of the job and the part that quietly fails elsewhere.
We set the standard for the function
The close calendar, the documentation habit, the tie-out discipline — these outlast any single engagement. If we leave, the function we built should still run.

About the firm

Revenue was growing. Margin hadn't moved in six quarters.

Nobody could say why. The company had a bookkeeper, a monthly P&L, and a CRM full of data — and no one whose job it was to put them next to each other.

That is the gap Insightech exists to fill. Not a bookkeeper with a nicer title, and not a consultant who delivers a deck and leaves. A finance function that closes your books, then tells you what they mean while there is still time to act.

The analysis found 230 basis points of gross margin sitting inside a commission plan. Four weeks, and no new systems.

Questions

Answers before you ask.

How quickly can you take over our books?

Usually one full close cycle to run in parallel, then we take it. The first month we close alongside whoever is doing it now, so nothing is dropped and we learn where the bodies are buried. From month two we own it. If your books are materially behind, the catch-up is a separate piece of work and we will scope it honestly before starting.

Do we have to change accounting systems?

No. We work in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct and NetSuite, and most engagements start in whatever you already have. We will tell you if your system is genuinely the constraint — but that is rarer than software vendors suggest. A slow close is usually manual process, not the platform.

Do you replace our bookkeeper, or work with them?

Either. Plenty of clients keep a bookkeeper doing transactional entry and bring us in above that for close, reporting and FP&A. Others hand over the whole stack. What does not work is two parties both half-owning the close — we will be direct about where the line sits before we start.

Is our company too small for FP&A?

The honest test is whether a decision is waiting on an answer your reporting cannot give. If you are choosing between two hires, repricing a product, or trying to explain a margin trend, the analysis pays for itself regardless of revenue. If nothing is pending, start with a reliable close and add FP&A when a question arrives.

What does the monthly package actually include?

Closed and consolidated financials by day five; budget-versus-actual with a written variance narrative and a KPI dashboard by day eight; a rolling 13-week cash forecast updated weekly; covenant certificates on the lender's schedule; and a quarterly reforecast. We tailor the KPI set to what your board or sponsor actually tracks.

What do you need to get started?

Access to your accounting system, the last twelve months of bank statements, your current chart of accounts, any lender agreements with reporting obligations, and an introduction to whoever touches the books today. That is enough for us to tell you within a week what shape the finance function is actually in.
